Abstract :
A fast-response flow monitor for use with turbine flowmeters was designed, built, and tested. The speed of response of this monitor to flow changes is limited only by the turbine itself. The dynamic range of the monitor is >100:1, with an inaccuracy of <0.5 percent. It practically eliminates the output signal ripple at steady flow, which is inherent in other designs.
