Abstract :
MR. W. PUDGE (Section President) : I feel we all appreciate the very able way in which Mr. Ballard has given this lecture, also the very frank way in which he has made clear the uses of metal spraying, both the advantages and disadvantages, because we can see that there is a great number of uses for it, but as he has said there is still a great deal to be learned, although it has passed the experimental stage. Metal spraying has been in hand about twenty-eight years, and certainly in another twenty-eight to thirty years there will be a lot more learnt about it.
