  • Abstract
As an undergraduate in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at U.C. Berkeley I took EECS141 on Analog IC design. It was taught by Prof. Bob Meyer from well scripted course notes of very high quality with few or no mistakes and rich and insightful detail. This encouraged me to do my Master´s thesis with Bob, which was followed by many years of working closely with him at commercializing numerous products at Signetics/Philips Semiconductors and later at Maxim Integrated. Bob´s deep contributions to analog design have enabled products in the analog, RF, video, fiber, automotive and industrial markets. Along the way he has invented optimal circuit architectures- which required solving a broad range of problems in circuit design, device and package modeling, ESD design, accurate GHz measurements, and automatic test.
