Abstract
It is likely that the amount of effort needed for the transition of an existing ISO 9001:1994 system to ISO 9001:2000 will be approximately the same as obtaining registration in the first place. There are five major conceptual changes that will significantly impact existing 1994 systems: process based, customer focus, measurement, improvement, and top management.
