Abstract :
The authors describe Standard 541-1987, prepared as an introduction to the expanded second edition of the American Petroleum Institute´s Recommended Practice 541, of December 1972. This standard forms the basis of a specification for induction motors, nominally 250 HP and larger, that is designed to meet all of the requirements of the petrochemical industry.<>
