Abstract
The summation method allows the calculation of both the magnetization and the static magnetic field of a setup of conductive and ferromagnetic materials. The effectiveness of this method was investigated and verified by measurements. Testing was done while developing a new device for magnetic simulation for diagnostic appliances. By systematically utilizing all symmetrical peculiarities of the new coil device the calculation time was considerably reduced. Using the newly developed software, the coil setup was perfected in terms of core design and arrangement of the coils
