Abstract :
Transformer models for distribution network harmonic studies based on rated parameters are presented. Results from simulations and measurements on power transformers are compared. Sensitivity studies are carried out to show how the total harmonic distortion of current and voltage behaves as a parameter of the transformer change. A field test involving a transformer as part of a power system feeding a DC motor drive was used to compare simulations and measurements. Both agreed reasonably well
