Abstract :
We can visualize present day IT education as an information sea in which all the natural maritime phenomena form and grow. The Internet and mobile technologies represent virtual hurricanes and storms. Object-oriented programming represents a steady rainfall, and aspect-oriented programming provides the thunderstorms. In this environment, old "sailing" practices like memorization and reciting information hold less value than efficient information seeking and retrieval.
