Abstract :
How Southern California Edison modified its operating practices to meet NO/sub x/ constraints is described. To measure NO/sub x/ levels on a real-time basis, continuous emissions monitoring systems were installed at major gas plants. To capture the impact of NO/sub x/ constraints, a program was developed to assist operating personnel in formulating NO/sub x/-compliance strategies. System costs and benefits and future plans are detailed.<>
