A universal high performance digital performance television controller

A novel versatile and highly integrated display controller for consumer television sets is described. The device can be easily configured to support the three major television color standards existing today. The digital television controller is designed for channel tuning and video and audio controls. Other peripheral television functions, like keypad scanning, remote infrared sensing, LED, and on-screen display, are also incorporated onto the same chip.
