Abstract :
Theoretical and experimental evidence for the effects of wave polarisation on tropospheric scintillation are discussed. Results indicate that vertically polarised radiation is more affected by turbulence induced clear-weather scintillation. Conversely, rain-induced scintillation is larger on signals transmitted in horizontal polarisation
