  • Abstract
    A frequency dependent AC system equivalent is incorporated in a dynamic HV DC simulation program, and special attention is given to the modelling of mutual couplings. The modified program is used to simulate AC short-circuit faults and their recovery on either side of an HV DC link. The results clearly show the importance of modelling frequency dependence and mutual couplings during large AC/DC system disturbances.<>
