Abstract :
Audio communication services using newly developed ISDN (integrated services digital network) customer devices and the methods used for providing these services are presented. Four prototype customer devices which make good use of the special ISDN features have been developed. These features are categorized into three groups: (1) two B-channels, (2) calling ID information provided by the network, and (3) end-to-end all-digital transmission. The configurations and applications of the prototype devices are described
