Abstract :
The worst-month concept of propagation phenomena is a tool for radio communication system design based on monthly objectives of service availability or performance. This letter presents an empirical analysis of worst-month complementary cumulative distribution functions obtained using one-minute integrated rain rate data from the Aburra Valley in the country of Colombia, and evaluates models to relate average year and worst-month probabilities for rain rate and rain attenuation on satellite paths
