Abstract :
The application of the FIT (finite integration theory) method to the problem of 3D eddy current computation is presented. Fields are treated in terms of E&oarr; and B&oarr;; the excitation is represented by time harmonic currents. Materials can be anisotropic with real ∈, μ, and κ. The displacement current is taken into account, and thus high-frequency eddy current problems can be treated as well as the case where there are no conductive regions (e.g. air coils). For nonconductive regions the additional condition div D=0 is imposed
