Abstract :
VISITOR : There is one point I should like to raise, and that is, what degree of accuracy, approximately, is guaranteed by the magnetic device for measuring the depth of coating ? MR. WALKER : I have never used it; the only ones I have seen are those used on such things as vitreous enamelled or metal sprayed parts, and I don´t think the accuracy would be much good for plating. The ones I have seen I should imagine to be accurate to about .001 in., but I have never used them at all for plating- they can be used, but there are other much better methods.
