  • Abstract
A survey of 104 projects in India, Japan, Europe, and the US is yielding quantitative data about these countries´ software development practices and performance, adoption of competing development models, and the practices´ impact on performance. The findings are particularly relevant to firms that are considering the potential advantages or a greater use of outsourcing.
