Abstract :
The permittivity of ferroelectric materials undergoes a substantial change with the application of an electric field. A new variation on the finite difference method to calculate electric fields in ferroelectric structures is presented. As an example, it is shown that how microstrip line parameters such as the effective permittivity and the characteristic impedance are computed when the dielectric is replaced with the ferroelectric. The derivation of the finite difference equations for ferroelectric materials is presented and the results are verified
