Abstract
A magnetic head using a highly heat-resistant inorganic material for its insulation film and an amorphous magnetic film of high-B s material was fabricated by a dry process and polishing for flatness. It is capable of recording signals on a high-H c recording medium with an H c of 152 kA/m. Signal reproduction efficiency is confirmed to be largely improved by high-temperature annealing, which cannot be applied to an organic insulation film conventionally used for thin film heads
