Abstract :
The complete moving hysteresis (CMH) Preisach model is used to calculate the deformation of a homogeneous field by a magnetizable body. The static field deformations when the squareness is set equal to zero are compared to the results obtained from boundary-element method calculations presented previously. For nonzero squareness, the effect that the presence of an irreversible magnetization makes on the static magnetic field is compared and presented. The addition of the CMH Preisach model made it possible to solve the complete hysteretic field problem. The CMH model illustrated its ability to maintain a magnetization after a 5-Oe applied field is removed
