Abstract
A new method for evaluating the ratio between a reference and an unknown wavelength is reported. A Young´s interferometer with no moving parts is used. Light emerging successively from a known wavelength and an unknown wavelength is launched into an optical fibre; a resulting interference pattern is projected onto the sensor of a CCD camera. Data from more than 300 000 sensors are processed by spatial phase-stepping techniques. Finally the whole set of points is fitted to obtain the measured estimation.
