Abstract
The parameter representing the fluidity of molten alloys is introduced. The dependence of this parameter on the ternary Fe-Si-B alloy system was studied. Ultrathin Fe70Si17.5B 12.5 amorphous ribbons of about 3-μm thickness were fabricated by the single roller quenching method in vacuum. The magnetic properties of cores made of the ultrathin ribbon were measured
