Abstract
The Control Systems Society has identified critical knowledge elements used by successful control systems professionals working in the rolled products segment of the metals industry. These elements have been documented in a Field Specific Knowledge Inventory (FSKI) as part of the IEEE Engineering Skills Assessment Program. The FSKI for process control in metal rolling is described.<>
