Flexible manufacturing and the sheet metal fabricator

The trends towards JIT production from customers buying goods fabricated from sheet metal is forcing manufacturers to move more and more to flexible manufacturing and JIT techniques themselves. This in turn is forcing manufacturers of fabricating equipment to build more features and more flexibility into the machines they make.
