Abstract
Google WiFi represents an extension of the wireless community-based network phenomenon to the commercial world, where noncarriers are offering wireless alternatives to the dominant telephone and cable TV broadband providers. The evolution of connectivity in the European Union is focusing more on fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) networks that offer last-mile subscribers symmetric bandwidth that far exceeds what´s available in the US.
