Abstract :
An overview is given of diagnostics automation, defined as the automated development, in-vehicle operation, and maintenance utilization of hardware/software elements directed toward the detection and identification of faults in avionic/electronic systems. An integrated support structure for diagnostics automation is described. The various elements of diagnostics automation are examined.<>
