Abstract
A magnetooptical method for measuring interactions in thin-film recording media has been developed. The technique is nondestructive and yields spatial interaction measurements on full disks that correlate with recording noise. Experimental results show excellent agreement between the magnetooptical method and time-intensive, destructive vibrating sample magnetometry methods
