Abstract :
It is shown that, as the feed of a nearly square patch is offset away from the corner feed position, the ratio of the two dimensions of the patch increases to maintain the circular polarisation condition. Consequently, with an offset feed, the effect of manufacturing errors on the performance of the antenna is reduced
