Abstract :
The following two types of projection screens have been applied to the rear projection television system: (1) Fresnel-diffuser type. (2) Fresnel-diffuser-lenticular type. Requirements for the screens 1),2) are as follows: (1) a high screen gain as well as a wide viewer area. (2) a uniformity of luminance and color, independent of positions on the screen. (3) no color shift, independent of viewing direction.
