A TV Frequency Synthesis System With a Single Chip Microprocessor Interface Including Non Volatile Memory

Digital tuning is being increasingly adopted by many TV set manufacturers to replace mechanical potentiometers and band switches. Voltage synthesizers with Non Volatile Memory were first adopted in conjunction with remote control systems. This solution brought the advantages, in comparison with mechanical solutions, of better reliability (the system is all "electronic") and increased features (automatic station search, Digital AFT, easy remote control interfacing).
