Abstract :
An expert system designed to investigate the application of artificial intelligence to the area of computer-based testing is presented. This system is a prototype that will be used to collect the data necessary to determine the feasibility of intelligent computer tests. The type of test to be used is an analogy test on which each question will consist of a sequence of three geometrical shapes. The examinee is asked to select and assemble objects to construct the fourth element of the sequence such that the last two are related in the same way as the first two, A:B::C:D
