Abstract :
A novel ultra-wide-bandwidth dual-polarization feed design for launching spherical fields into a tapered chamber is introduced. This new design provides improved bandwidth and field quality, which should enhance measurement accuracy and sensitivity. This feed is integrated into the feed section of tapered chambers, and thus eliminates the need for opening the feed section for placing different antennas. The quad-ridge wave-launcher partially embedded in the wall absorbers allows for lower operational frequencies.
