Abstract :
There has been a rapid penetration rate of home VCRs throughout the world. Technological advancements have brought forth a variety of multi-featured, compact, long-recording time models. High density recording has become the answer to the demand for high performance, and high quality products. However, in order to achieve this, the tape speed was lowered. The conventional fixed head bias recording system caused a deterioration in the audio playback frequency response characteristics, an increase in wow and flutter, etc., which all resulted in poor sound quality.
