Abstract :
A system designed for independently switching six appliances at desired times and durations as programmed is described. Also, a switching control based on the day and night light intensities is provided. Furthermore, as the system runs a digital clock for various timed controls, a programmed alarm channel is also provided. The prototype implementation has three programmable channels in addition to the alarm channel and light controlled relay channel. The hardware allows realization of three more programmable channels by modifying the software. If needed, all the channels could be programmed for multiple operation
