Abstract :
Perkins Engines Company, now part of Caterpillar, has been making diesel engines for more than 70 years, and tests engines for companies such as BMW, Daewoo, Lotus and Rolls Royce. The test facility, at Peterborough, is winning acclaim for the quality of its engine testing, backed by six sigma quality credentials. The article describes the test facility´s work.
