Abstract :
We have developed a method to accurately measure the resolution of multiwire proportional chambers with delay line readout. The contribution of signal to noise, pulse shape, pulse rise time and discriminator slewing to the position accuracy is presented. Results show that position resolution better than 100 microns is possible.
