Abstract
A 12 GHz low, noise converter (LNC) suitable for use in two band reception has been developed. A wideband, very low noise amplifier (LNA) and two Switchable local oscillators in the LNC make it possible to receive two frequency bands. The developed LNC has low noise figures of less than 2.5 dB (for frequency band from 11.7 to 12.2 GHz) , a high image rejection ratio of more than 90 dB, and very low local power leakage of less than -95 dbW.
