High Speed and Low Current, Frequency Dividere Up to 2.5 GHZ

Todays main application for monolithic integrated GHz-Frequency dividers in Si-planar technology is in automatic tuning systems used in TV-tuners and thus normally in the frequency range up to 1 GHz. To guarantee the demanded high input sensitivity of a few millivolts over the total frequency range, a preamplifier is incorporated in these IC´s. For equivalent applications in cable-TV, the customer requires max. frequencies up to 1.5 GHz, in the case of satellite-TV with direct receiving even up to 2.4-2.5 GHz.
