  • Abstract
    The use of a secondary arrester on low-voltage AC supply mains to prevent damage to electronic equipment is addressed. Some failure mechanisms of secondary arrester are described, and ways to minimize risks from possible failure of the arrester are suggested. Applications of secondary arresters and fuses are discussed
