Performance Considerations for Baseband Converters

CATV operators generally provide subscribers with a set-top converter. These converters enable the subscriber to receive many more channels than presently tunable on most television sets. More importantly, these converters often provide the signal descramblers which decode the premium signals for which the subscriber has been authorized to receive.
