Abstract :
An automatic kinescope biasing system has been developed which addresses many of the classical problem in this type of system. The system uses a grid pulsing technique to gain inmunity to heater-cathode leakage. The current reference employed varies with the cutoff of the gun in use to minimize bias error and a unique kine driver configuration allows cathode current and sensing to be performed at a low voltage, low impedance output without the use of extra semi-conductor devices. The operation of the system is described and all pertinent relationships are derived.
