  • Abstract
    The Japanese government began providing public telegraph and telephone services in the latter half of the 19th century. After years of service and system development, Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Public Corporation (NTT) was established in August 1952, and has been the provider of domestic public telecommunications services ever since.
