    This paper proposes a numerical technique based on the Newton-Raphson method for blind maximum-likelihood estimation of carrier frequency offset in orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing systems. The proposed technique is characterized by low complexity and fast convergence while maintaining the estimation accuracy
