  • Abstract
    This note outlines a procedure for determining the asymptotic behavior of the optimal closed-loop poles of a multivariable time-invariant linear regulator, as the weight on the input in the performance criterion approaches zero. It is based on an association of the optimal characteristic frequency loci with the branches of an algebraic function.
