Abstract
Managers often have problems justifying investment in AMT to the boys and girls in finance and this leads them to reject accountancy theory as not being up to the job. Some form of scientific basis must be used to make these decisions, however, and Peter Primrose calls for a company-wide approach to AMT investment strategy.
