  • Abstract
    Uncertainties are always present in the power system data, captured at the remote terminal unit (RTU). Fuzzy logic method is one of the alternatives for improving the quality of such data, before processing it further. As the measured data deviates from their nominal values, preprocessing of them with fuzzy logic method improves the reliability of the measurements. This paper discusses a fuzzy logic-based algorithm for preprocessing the data at the RTU level. Measurands such as voltage, current, and phase angle have been employed to study the usefulness of the proposed method.
