Abstract :
This paper describes a method to obtain an additional compensating input for discrete and time-invariant systems when known changes in their parameters occur. The method uses a quadratic cost function for solving a matrix Riccati equation. The regulated variable is the state error signal between the current system and nominal model which contains all of the information about the desired system behavior.
