Abstract :
A method of order reduction in singular perturbation problems due to Chow and Kokotovic is studied. The method is used for an output regulator problem in control theory. The quadratic term in the asymptotic expansion of Chow and Kokotovic is calculated and it is shown by some examples how this term can give evidence of the accuracy of the procedure.
