Abstract :
We present some considerations to be taken into account for automatic measurements of consumer electronic front-ends. We use sampled signals instead of analogue signals. The sampled signals are processed in the time and frequency domain using digital signal processing, allowing faster and more effective measurement methods. Measurements of analogue parameters (noise figure, phase noise, IP3) are explained on a satellite front-end for digital TV reception.
