Abstract :
The occurrence of degenerate Hopf bifurcations in power systems is considered and this phenomenon is explored analytically using the Lyapunov-Schmidt reduction method and by simulation. A qualitative method that uses system trajectory data to classify the type of degenerate Hopf bifurcation is proposed
